April is a month of many birthdays. Those birthdays were celebrated with a weekend at Mystery Bay. We paddled, walked the beaches and bush tracks, and paddled again. The Young Endeavour sailed past, and sunrise from the lookout was glorious. Montague Island was wonderful with lots of new baby seals. There was a communal birthday with curries and cake. Surf break-outs from Mystery Bay were no drama if you got the timing right. Not so good, if you messed up. Rae said that “timing was luck” and I replied that “since I started patiently waiting for a break in sets, my luck had increased.”
