Today I had a difficult conversation. There was no real resolution mostly because there was no real forgiveness. It does make me sad because the conflict is over infinitesimally small trespasses which were not intentionally committed and occurred a long time ago.
Far too long ago to hold onto so firmly and to carry around so heavily. Yet, while we can ask for grace and we can extend it to others, we cannot demand it in return.
